The University of Oregon in Portland

The partnership between the University of Oregon and the City of Portland dates back to the founding of the university. Although the UO main campus has always been in Eugene, the state's flagship university has been improving the lives of Portland-area residents throughout its history. The UO School of Law opened in Portland in 1884 and the medical school followed in 1887. In 1914, the UO's school of commerce and industrial survey was established in the Rose City to research markets for Oregon products.
