UO Co-Sponsors Dragon Moon Festival


The Dragon Moon Festival is held the first weekend in June, August and September, 2009 in historic Old Town Chinatown. Festival Streets are located on Third and Davis. Saturday hours are Noon to 10 pm. Sunday hours are Noon to 6 pm.

This Festival will include 4 stages of entertainment: Main Stage featuring cultural acts and bands, Culinary Stage including cooking demonstration showcasing Asian cuisine, Family Stage with acts perfect for small children which will transform into a Karaoke Stage in the afternoons where audience members can become “the star” attraction (Saturdays only) and InnovAsian & Technology Plaza where anime, car audio, break dancing, technology, Olympic-level table tennis and more will be featured (Sundays only).

The event is FREE to the public. Come experience Asian culture in Portland’s historic Old Town Chinatown at the Dragon Moon Festival. Our June Dragon Moon Entertainment includes Dragon Art Puppet Studio, Hitoshi Onizuka, Lee’s Association Lion Dance Team, Lions of Batucada, Lo Nuestro, Monmouth Taiko, The Portland Ballet, The Slants, Portland Table Tennis Association Demonstrations, Kumoricon including Live Cos-Play and Tai Chi for 1000.
