The Renovation Process: A Story of Balance

The decisions made during the renovation of these historic buildings prioritized the preservation of the buildings’ embodied energy while at the same time upgrading its thermal, structural, and functional performance. To create the most sustainable building possible, the design team recruited a wide range of consultants from the earliest planning sessions.

Green Building Services, a consulting firm, brought the participants together in a LEED green building charrette.
