Community Connection Events
This move is about more than a new campus. It's about joining an established historic neighborhood, creating new partnerships and making new acquaintances. Join the University of Oregon Portland for quarterly Community Connection events to get updates about the move and campus, ask questions and get to know our staff.
NEXT COMMUNITY CONNECTION:
Past Community Connections took place on Oct. 12, 2022, Jan. 14, 2023 and April 12, 2023.
The Library

Community members will be able to access the UO Portland Library located on the second floor of the Learning and Events Center. The space will include a community reading collection with popular fiction, non-fiction and children books available for checkout using the “Oregon Card” program. The library will primarily focus on research collections that support UO Portland academic program.
Planning currently includes a family-friendly children's reading room, study spaces and service desk.
Most of the former special collections were transferred to other institutions before the UO purchased the campus. However, the Berta and Elmer Hader artwork and collections, Hebrew Sefer Torah Scroll and Medieval deed and charter have become part of the UO Libraries Special Collections and University Archives.
